Big Blue Bling for the Gaints

Recently, New York Giants unveiled their special gemstone jewelry their own Super Bowl championship rings. It all happened with great fanfare as quarterback Eli Manning and his teammates, including defensive end Justin Tuck were present at the unveiling ceremony. True to the spirit this ring is studded with some of the precious gemstones including sapphires and diamonds.

For the details this ring, is made of 14-karat white gold and is covered with diamonds along with diamond footballs and is surrounded by a sapphire band. To be precise there are 1.36 carats of diamonds and 1.11 carats of sapphires in all. This Huge ring is inscribed with words “New York Giants 2011 World Champions”.

So, if anyone wants to understand the symbolic significance of these rings it features all four of the franchise’s Super Bowl trophies inside a ring of blue and they were given to the Super Bowl XLVI champions at a private ceremony in Manhattan.

Justin Tuck who is NY Giants defensive end, said that this “restaurant ring” is something that he always wanted as the team’s Super Bowl championship jewelry because it is so enormous that no one can miss it irrespective of the fact that where he or she is sitting inside an eating establishment.

This Gaint ring studded with some of the brightest diamonds and sapphire and set in white gold was distributed to around 300 people. These chosen ones have all played a significant role in NY Giant’s 21-17 Super Bowl victory against the New England Patriots in February.

Definitely a very impressive piece of gemstone jewelry this huge diamond sapphire ring may have cost a fortune but the Giants did not say how much the rings cost.

This ring was designed by Tiffany, but there were inputs from Giants organization members as well. General Manager Jerry Reese, coach Tom Coughlin and captains Tuck, Eli Manning and Zak DeOssie have all put their heads together to come up with this exclusive design.

The players were really excited on receiving these rings Running back Ahmad Bradshaw said that they are the ‘Big Blue and he cannot wait to put it on.

Not only the colored gemstones the words “all in” and “finish” are also engraved inside the ring the players say that these two were motivational phrases the Giants used throughout the 2011 season. Besides this the ring’s sides has the team logo, and each recipient’s name and number.
