If things go right, this piece of jewelry can even be worn on the red carpet by one of the Hollywood celebrities, like the probable winner Meryl Streep. Ahluwalia was recently honored as a winner of the Rio Tinto Diamonds Global Design Competition for her “Canoe” diamond necklace. The necklace is named so because it resembles a lightweight boat, pointed at each end.
Explaining the design, Ahluwalia said that it is her interpretation of the winters in her home, Canada. It basically a design displaying a snow covered canoe in a frozen crystalline lake. As for technical details it is made of 18K white gold, with Canadian diamonds of 28.96 carats.
