Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan are expecting their first child. The news came after Mark released a note on his facebook page along with a happy family picture. He enthusiastically mentioned that his baby girl would take after him as she has already given a thumbs up “like” with her hand in an ultrasound.
While the couple is hopeful and looking forward to welcome their little bundle of joy into the world, the social media mogul opened up about his wife’s previous miscarriages. Mark explained that they have been trying to have a child for a couple of years and had three miscarriages along the way. He states that every time they have been filled with a hope and started dreaming for the future. However, suddenly they have gone and leaving Mark and Priscilla with a lonely experience. The struggle was difficult but speaking with their friends helped them realized that it is not the end, and they are not alone who suffered through such emotional breakdown.
The Facebook co-founder advised people to speak up about their emotions and situations. He suggested that discussing any issue would bring people closer and not set them apart.
We are deeply moved with Zuckerberg’s concern and how gracefully he brought an otherwise taboo subject in the forefront.
Social media platforms such as Facebook have definitely connected people. Whether it is a happy moment, a revolutionary thought or an emotional topic, we can share everything with this world with a thought that we would be respected and responded gracefully.
