Black and white gowns dazzle always. But at the recently held Tony Awards red carpet, most celebrities wore blue for a change.
Leading the list was Sheryl Crow who radiated in her navy blue gown. The others who went blue were Laura Bell, Neil Patrick Harris and Ellen Barkin.
A couple of stars chose purple for the evening including Amanda Seyfried and Bernadette Peters. As for the jewelry gold and diamonds were shining bright at the award ceremony.
It seemed that earrings were preferred by these stars to add the sparkle to their ensemble. Some of them went with studs, while the others chose danglers. Crow for a change wore a pair of hoops.
Some style pundits have predicted that blue is going to be a hot color this summer. They are of the opinion that this is a universal color as so many things around us are colored blue. Besides, this blue is supposedly soothing to our senses and is relaxing to our eye muscles. Interestingly, even blue colored accessories are gaining in popularity. Popular stones that are blue in color include Sapphire, Tanzanite, Turquoise and Aquamarine.
Coming back to the Tony Awards, Jessica Chastain looked glamorous here in a see-through nude dress. The fact is that, such daring outfits are usually worn by celebrities at the Oscars, but Chastain decided to bring some Hollywood glamour to the red carpet of the Tony Awards as well.
The cocktail knee length dress was not really revealing as her assets were well covered with a body colored layer beneath the gown. Her pretty frock was decorated with beads and pearls. It showed that she was dressed for an evening in June, celebrating the birthstone of the month ‘the pearl’.
